Bardstown is located in Central Kentucky's bluegrass area. Just 35 minutes from Louisville and 60 minutes from Lexington, we are easily accessible from I-65 or the Bluegrass Parkway. Once in town, visit our Welcome Center in the historic downtown courthouse.

From Louisville - 40 miles: (35 Minutes from Louisville Intl. Airport)
1. Take I-65 south for approximately 35 miles to exit #112 (Clermont-Bardstown exit).
2. Off the exit ramp take a left on HWY 245.
3. Follow HWY 245 for approximately 15 miles into Bardstown.
4. At 4th traffic light (intersection of HWY 245 & US 31-E) take a right onto US31E.
5. Follow US 31-E downtown until you reach the court square (Court House will be in center of street).
6. The Visitor's Center is located in the Court House. From Lexington - 60 miles:
1. Take the Bluegrass Parkway west for approximately 60 miles to the first Bardstown exit #25.
2. Take a right off the exit ramp onto HWY150. Follow for approximately 3 miles.
3. Pass through 4 traffic lights.
4. The Visitor's Center is located in the Court House in the center of the Square. From Nashville - 158 miles:
1. Follow I-65 North into Kentucky for approximately 100 miles.
2. Take the Bluegrass Parkway east, exit #93 Bardstown-Lexington exit.
3. Follow the Bluegrass Parkway for approximately 22 miles to the first Bardstown exit #21.
4. Take a left off the exit ramp onto US 31-E. Follow into town for approximately 2 miles, turning right at St. Joseph Proto Cathedral.
5. Pass through 2 traffic lights.
